Oiling painting! Landscape!

I started the underpainting for this years ago. Then we started renovating our house and it was shoved off to the side. My studio is clean again and we are cat sitting and they want attention so now i'm back in the studio doing painting again on a big landscape.

This is a fun one because i'm going to learn how to make water look super smooth and shiny. I've got some fun pearlescents to play with and i'm trying new palette knife and brush techniques.

Big gap in time...

It's been a pretty unfun time at work and alot of work at home so i've had a motivation kill problem.
Muscled my brain into doing something today.

8/31/15 sketch.

I got a wacom tablet this weekend so hopefully there will be some fruits from that soon. 

Still sifting through facebook for good photos to sketch. I'm frustrated with this one because while all the pieces look like the match the original photo it just... doesn't look like the same person to me. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

I'm not a fan of it I think.

Went into work early today and got some quiet time to sketch. This is my very photogenic cousin!

In order to get out of this funk i'm in, art wise, I am going to start posting sketches to keep myself accountable. I need to sketch at the very least weekly and hopefully daily. So here we go! This will be a round up of the last week.
